Darwin Hurricane Lantern

A dome behaves differently to a straight sided lantern, curving the glass so light bends around it rather than escaping through flat panels. The Darwin Hurricane Lantern uses that shape over an antique brass pedestal base, which lifts the candle and gives the whole piece height on a mantel or console. It's sized for pillar candles, and the raised base means it reads clearly even sitting among other objects in a vignette. Iron and glass construction keeps the outline simple. It pairs with the Darwin Lantern if you want the finish repeated at a different shape.
